In addition to his mediation and law practices, Robert Berliner is a self-employed real estate developer, operator and investor. Bob also is sought after as a consultant and expert witness on a wide range of real estate matters.
Bob has been a principal in ventures that have acquired, operated and managed properties that have involved over 1,000 dwelling units and over 400,000 square feet of commercial space, with a value of more than $200 million.
In 1984, he co-founded Citiscape Properties, Inc., an asset and property management company; he remains president to this day. The company and its affiliated partnerships have bought, developed, managed, operated and sold various properties in Illinois and Virginia. He also is active in a number of other real estate ventures. During his term as a partner and general counsel of Jupiter Realty Corporation, he became a partner in a number of Jupiter-affiliated retail, apartment, office and hotel ventures.
